Our Home

The daycare is currently preparing to expand to a large family daycare. The following is a description of the various rooms that will be utilized and their function. Some of these items are already in place and the remainder will be implemented over the summer.

Circle Time Room

Circle Time / Puppet Theatre / Dance Room / Quiet Room / Nap Room

This room will be furnished with minimal fixtures to give versatility to this room. During most hours there will be bean bag chairs for kids to sit in for reading and a quiet place. We will also have a projector set up for movie days and a puppet theatre for dramatic play. For nap time the bean bags will go away and this room will accommodate up to 8 kids for nap time. We will also have a dance bar and mirrors for dance class time.

Playroom

Dress Up / Kitchen / Marketplace / Blocks / Manipulative / Puzzles

This room will have a place for kids use their imaginations and interact with other kids. There is a wide variety of toys for children to play with . This is also where we have interest centers for kids to participate in at scheduled times. There will be a market place and kitchen for children to pretend play

Preschool Room

Table Games / Arts and Crafts / Writing / Computer / Listening Center / Meals

This room would be equipped with tables and storage for various teacher driven activities. This is where school age children would do their homework and studying. This is also where all the kids come together for meal and snack times. We will eventually have computer stations for the kids as well.

Outdoor

Ride On Toys / Small Slides / Play House / Chalk & Bubbles / Sand & Water

The outdoor area will be split into two sections for use through out the day. One side will have small climbers, slides, and teeter totter. The other side will be an open space for ride on toys, sand & water exploration, and chalk. This will separation will allow us have all the kids outside safely and always give a space to play out of the sun.
